OPERATION AT DARRA ADAM KHEL BY MAJID KHAN AFRIDI SZABIST ISLAMABAD S hahnawaz, a 12-year-old boy was terrified that day. He was so terrified that he ran straight to his mother, crying out of horror. He had just seen an innocent man being slaughtered mercilessly, in front of his home, by another man whom they call the Taliban. It was quite natural for this very young boy to be startled and scared to death after seeing such a horrendous scene just outside his home. He was fed up of these killing Shahnawaz mother was heartening him that don’t worry this will end because Pakistan army is preparing for operation and can start any time. Army solider was given order to prepare for operation in dara adam khel. Military operation has just started. Military men have completely seized the whole area, placed bunkers here and there, and are fully prepared to fight against the Taliban in this so-called War on Terror. Artillery started firing shell on target. Armed solider supported with armed personal carrier and tanks started advancing in speedy manner with air support. People are reluctant to go out of their homes. They fear that the Taliban might kill them or any shell might miss target and hit them, leaving every things in their home. Hustle and bustle started among Taliban when they got information about the movement of army and their leadership started hiding while other captured the government property and kohat tunnel, placed explosives their and damaged that places and placed imposed explosive device in way to stop advancing troops, the troops and Taliban fired at each other some places. BLAST! There’s been a terrible bomb blast white smoke spread every where. Smell of burning fleshes spread every where. Living human beings are shattered into thousand pieces of flesh souls flew away. People rush to the scene. The whole house is completely destroyed, killing all the innocent people. Innocent children, women and men died in this blast. Shahnawaz was one of those killed along with his family also killed. This was army shell fired by Pakistan artery and hit house of common people, Innocent soul killed at the hands of this on-going war against the Taliban. There are many more shell who missed the target, targeted local people The army suffered little resistance, during the operation and captures the area and placed their posts on hell tops. The same people who called them self Taliban shaved off their bears and start moving in community, with out fear of being caught by army or security personals. If any person informs army against him he is found beheaded next day. Who suffered loss Pakistan government assets destroyed by militants, solider killed by them or people displaced from their homes or innocent killed by army or Taliban. Where the people go their near ones are killed by army or Taliban, their shops are close where earned two times meal for their children’s; schools are damage causing whole community to leave education. This is just the story of one family. There are countless other families who have the similar story to tell. But, who will listen to their pleas?
