Krakow has always fascinated me with its outstanding architecture but most of all with its totally unique and gorgeous atmosphere. So when I learned from my supervisor that I was going to visit this city, though it was mainly on business, still I was happy as a little boy. It’s been quite a while since I last visited this town and for the last decade or so I had a chance to see many interesting places, large cities and lovely and quiet little towns but somewhere deep in my heart felt this strange longing for Krakow. I remember it very well when I first arrived there as a teenager, I stayed with my Polish relatives in Podgorze, old district of Krakow. I was spending every single and long day cruising round the city, its old streets, breathing in the atmosphere of this historic town, reading about its fascinating history, the kings and hearing fabulous and amusing legends. I wanted to learn about every nook and cranny of this absolutely outstanding place. Wawel Castle, St Mary’s Church, Cloth Hall, Kanonicza Street, all these remarkable sites engraved an always vivid picture in my memory. Now after so many years I am in Krakow having another chance to discover its great character again. This time I decided to stay in one of the Krakow apartments in Kazimierz, the old jewish district, very close to the New Square. It’s a great location in terms of sightseeing , a fantastic starting point for any town tour. And when you come back after a long day of sightseeing or work (unfortunately that was the purpose of my visit) you can easily find a place to relax as you’re surrounded by little café’s and pubs or if you feel like going for a nice evening stroll, beautiful little streets are there for you. The site for apartments in Krakow I used to book mine offers a wider selection of such serviced flats so you can easily choose a different location, for example closer to the Market Square
